Ellyn Herbert is a skilled Leadership Coach. After 18 years of professional coaching, Ellyn encourages personal and professional growth through evidence-based practices grounded in behavioral science, conversational intelligence, neuroscience, and performance development. Since 2004, she has had the privilege of providing coaching and expertise to all types of emerging leaders, mid-senior level managers, startup founders. ​One of her superpowers is her unique ability to connect with a wide spectrum of leaders through an engaging and warm spirit. Committed to helping clients unleash their potential and achieve sustainable positive change she helps them learn and build the leadership behaviors that will develop them into strong, successful leaders. With her background in training, facilitation, and program design, she helps small and mid-sized companies build leadership and professional development programs, ERG’s and affinity groups in alignment with the organization's overall business strategy.

 

Ellyn graduated from the Graduate School of Coaching and received her initial 3rd-party certified coach designation through the International Association of Coaches (IAC) in 2007. She is currently certified as an ICF – PCC and holds numerous other coaching certifications in Team Coaching, Conversational Intelligence, the PrinciplesYOU assessment, has a master’s certificate in Adult Learning, Training and Facilitation from Temple University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Development. She has worked with 1000's of individuals helping them develop the strategies they need to succeed using these frameworks as a foundation for growth.

In addition to her coaching & academic credentials, she is also an Economic Development Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration where she helps small businesses start, grow and succeed.  Ellyn has a strong corporate background as well as long-term experience and success as a small business owner. She has 10 years’ in administrative management and human resources. Together with husband Jeff Herbert she managed and operated Herbert Studios, a corporate & advertising photography studio specializing in high-end product and architectural images. Their clients include advertising agencies, corporate accounts, and manufacturing companies. Her government experience, corporate background in HR & her business ownership experience makes her extremely valuable as a Leadership Coach. She has walked the talk. She knows how to develop business and drive its growth. More importantly, she knows first-hand that achieving at the highest levels at times requires a steadfast focus, an unswerving commitment to the result and the ability to be comfortable with discomfort. Not always an easy task and especially difficult without appropriate support.

 

Her greatest love is her husband Jeff who is her biggest champion and introduced her to a wonderful life of entrepreneurship. Her greatest gifts are her two sons Jack and Sam who make her walk her talk every day. She enjoys playing tennis and bike riding, loves attending comedy shows, eating sushi with friends, playing blackjack for fun, being entertained by astrology, reading every darn thing she can make time for, and laughing out loud and heartily at least once a day.
