Ellyn Herbert helps women find their authentic voice and develop self-confidence. She is a business coach and founded HerBiz, a Delaware professional and career coaching company, in 2004 to help empower and support women in creating the professional and personal lives they deserve and achieving the success they desire. One of her greatest desires and drivers is to help women succeed on their own terms and realize their greatness. She works one-on-one and in groups with self-employed women, sales professionals, administrative personnel, new managers and any woman wanting to go from "good to great" or just struggling on their own and wanting help.

Ellyn is certified by the International Association of Coaches (IAC) and, as a graduate of the Thomas Leonard School of Coaching, she has over 150 hours of coach training. In addition to her coaching credentials, her prior experience as a successful business owner and her corporate background in HR make her extremely valuable as a business coach. She has walked the talk. She knows how to develop business and drive its growth. More importantly, she knows first hand that achieving at the highest levels at times requires a steadfast focus, an unswerving commitment to the result and the ability to be comfortable with discomfort. Not always an easy task and especially difficult without appropriate support.

Ellyn is also a motivational speaker and a skilled panelist and moderator. She has authored several empowerment programs for women and has presented these original workshops at the University of Delaware, the Delaware Women’s Conference, the New Castle Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Expo, NAWBO Delaware and Christiana Care Hospital. These programs are extremely well attended, informative, interactive as well as highly relevant and inspiring. Each workshop is designed by Ellyn to introduce participants to new frameworks for professional empowerment and success.

In March 2008, on the heels of opportunity and need and at the request of several female business leaders, Ellyn started the Business Women’s Network of Delaware. Ellyn’s vision for this new group was to create a community to connect entrepreneurial women to each other for development and growth. The group meets to provide encouragement rather than competition and to openly share strategies for achievement. In the ten months since it’s inception, the group has grown from 8 members to 60+ members under Ellyn’s leadership and direction.

In January 2008, Ellyn was also instrumental in the development and design of the annual women’s networking event WOMEN IN PARTNERSHIP. Acting as the Director of the Business Women’s Network, Ellyn along with 3 other women’s organizations formed a committee to honor and support women for Women’s History Month. BWN, NAWIC, NAWBO & WWB got together with a shared goal of uniting the business women of Delaware and were thrilled when the premier event drew over 190 women.

Ellyn consistently seeks out diversity and learning opportunities. In college she was awarded a prestigious Congressional Internship and received the Dean's Award, one of her school's highest honors given to only 5 graduating seniors each year. She is a Dale Carnegie graduate and has worked in the academic, entertainment, banking and investment banking fields for such notable employers like Goldman, Sachs and PolyGram Records.
