About Ellyn Herbert, IAC-CC
Ellyn Herbert helps women find their authentic voice and develop
selfconfidence. She is a business coach and founded HerBiz, a Delaware
professional and career coaching company, in 2004 to help empower and support
women in creating the professional and personal lives they deserve and achieving
the success they desire. She works one-on-one and in groups with self-employed
women, sales professionals, new managers and any woman in transition wanting to
go from "good to great" or just struggling on their own and wanting help.
Her workshops are co-ed for both women and men looking for professional
and/or personal development.
Ellyn is certified by the International Association of Coaches (IAC) and, as a graduate of the Thomas Leonard School of Coaching, she has over 150 hours of coach training. In addition to her coaching credentials, her prior experience as a successful business owner and her corporate background in HR make her extremely valuable as a business coach. She has walked the talk. She knows how to develop business and drive its growth. More importantly, she knows first hand that achieving at the highest levels at times requires a steadfast focus, an unswerving commitment to the result and the ability to be comfortable with discomfort. Not always an easy task and especially difficult without appropriate support.
Ellyn consistently seeks out diversity and learning opportunities. In college she was awarded a prestigious Congressional Internship and received the Dean's Award, one of her school's highest honors. She is a Dale Carnegie graduate and has worked in the academic, entertainment, banking and investment banking fields.
One of her greatest desires and drivers is to help women succeed on their own terms and realize their greatness. Her greatest love is her husband Jeff who gives more than he recieves (although he would argue that point) and her greatest gifts are her two sons Jack and Sam. She enjoys playing tennis, eating sushi with friends, playing bunco with the girls, being entertained by astrology and reading every darn thing she can make time for.
